Casey VanDongen, the principal of Tri-City Contracting Ltd, started in the construction industry in 1975 operating under the name VanDongen Construction. Until 1981 most work was residential based in the Kamloops area. Since 1981 the focus has been commercial, institutional and design build projects. The name Tri-City Contracting Ltd was incorporated in 1987. The company also contracts as construction management.Tri-City focuses on small to large projects for government and select private owners. Tri-City works in all areas of BC and into Southern Alberta. Clients in the central and northern interior areas of the province are served from our main office in Kamloops. A satellite office in Kelowna serves clients in the Okanagan and Kootenay regions. A branch office has been established in Calgary to serve southern Alberta. Because local representation at a project is critical to good customer relations, Tri-City establishes local project managers and/or superintendents as contacts. Through this network we are able to provide consistent construction services for clients.
Tri-City continues to invest heavily in communication and administration technology. Our offices are linked via VOIP access and a Timberline accounting/project management program assures accurate and responsive financial management information.
