Tri-City believes in the importance of protecting our architectural heritage by upgrading those buildings for future generations. These buildings need structural and seismic upgrades and modernization to ensure public safety while maintaining the original features. Projects include full restorations such as St. Andrews on the Square or adding an elevator into the Nelson Courthouse in order to enable the building to be functional while maintaining its heritage value. It can also include adding a second floor addition on the old Land Titles building done in 1998 with the average person being unable to identify aesthetic differences from the original 1912 structure.

This building is the oldest wood structure in Kamloops. Work was done on a project management basis including a large volunteer component. Many challenges were faced as the building was stripped to its original structure. |

This building was originally the land titles building in Kamloops and had been sold for office use. The original part of the building was designated heritage by Kamloops City Council. Unfortunately a 1952 flat roof addition on the front was completely out of place and detracted from the building. This received a new façade to match the original heritage features, followed the next year by a second floor with slate roof. |
